Koh Tao has no airport; ferries arrive at Mae Haad pier on the west coast. Lomprayah Koh Tao Pier is 2 km from the resort, and pickup-truck taxis can take you along the island’s roads to Chalok Baan Kao. Scooters are another way to travel around Koh Tao, although roads leading to some eastern bays are steep. Snorkelling and scuba diving are among Koh Tao’s main activities, with dive schools and sites around the island.
